Tonight, Daft Punk launch their album called Random Access Memories in the Northern New South Wales town of Wee Waa. Here's the very first image of them playing at their agricultural show, which also happens to be on this weekend.
Ivan the Terrible and Vladamir Putin throwing dogs and dolphin at Pussy Riot as a couple of members flee Russia. This image is included in the recent A4 Book publication.
I don't often do commissioned paintings, however I shared the vision so closely with my client that I agreed to doing this, which I completed just last week.
Of course, commissioned jobs require clients to pay me more, and to give me finer whisky...
Here's non other than kraut rock legend Mani Neumeier and local psychedelic master Paul Kidney holding aloft my painting that became the gig poster for a recent Mani and the Paul Kidney Experience performance...
A brand new painting of mine is being included in a brand new book! Produced by the dynamic duo, Mira + Lara, the A4 BOOK is filled withwriting, images, photographs, drawings, poetry and ideas. Work included is visual, conceptual, literary or analytical. I believe all artists are local to Melbourne and Adelaide. In fine style, the ladies have organised 2 launch parties. The first is to be held this Friday at the Old Bar, featuring my own band High Tea, Bodies, Pioneers of Good Science, and Wiley Red Fox. Copies of the book can be bought at the gig for just $12!! There'll also be an Adelaide launch! I can't show you my submission right now (you'll have to come to the launch, or buy the book), but I can let you know that it may include Ivan The Terrible throwing dogs at Pussy Riot... and perhaps Vladamir Putin might be on the scene also...
